How do we see color? Light makes colors. All colors are in sunlight. To see red for instance the red light reflects back. The other colors are absorbed. This process of absording colors is called opaque. Window glass has no color it does not reflect or absorb color. The color passes right through it this is called transparent.
To see color with our eyes the nerves called rods they react only to white. There are also nerves called cones. They help us to see colors. When light strikes a color it reflects the light into the cones and we see color.
Colors we can make by mixing colors are yellow and blue make green. Yellow and red make orange. Red, yellow and blue make purple.
